Do I need an account?
No. There's no sign-up. Everything you enter stays on your phone.
What is the GIG Index?
One number out of 100 showing where your circumstances land next to the world's: household income, expected lifespan, schooling, everyday basics like clean water and internet, and (in the US) where you live. It uses rounded estimates from World Bank, UN and US government data, and every source is listed in the app. It describes circumstances, not you.
How do I change my answers, my name or my avatar?
Open the You tab. "Redo my answers" goes through the questions again, filled in with your current answers; nothing changes until you tap "Save my answers", and you can cancel at any step. Your name and your avatar each have their own card there. Your avatar never affects your GIG Index.
How do I turn the reminders on or off?
In the app, go to You → Daily reminder (today's line, or a GIGitude or Daily Gig prompt) or Goodnight reminder, and pick a time or turn it off. If a reminder doesn't arrive, check that notifications are allowed for Got it Good in iOS Settings → Notifications.
Can I turn off the chimes?
Yes: You → Sunrise sound. They also follow the silent switch, and never stop your music.
Why does the sky change?
It follows the time of day on your phone: sunrise, day, golden hour, sunset and night. After 6 PM you can say goodnight to your GIG.
Does it work offline?
Yes, everything works without a connection. Only the links to charities and data sources need the internet; they open in Safari.
How do I erase everything?
In the app, go to You → Erase everything from this device. Deleting the app does the same.
Is my data private?
Yes. The app collects nothing. See the privacy policy.
